Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility and Turning Lives Around through Sports
With a long-standing commitment to education and the underprivileged, as well as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), World Vision Taiwan is committed to promoting the concept of sustainable development, and on February 15, World Vision Taiwan hosted the "Basketball and Sea Project" South Regional Exchange Tournament at National Sun Yat-Sen University's Kuo-Kuang Junior High School, where 80 youth players from Pingtung Jet Thunder Leopards, Tainan Southern Falcons, Kaohsiung Basketball Peach Monkeys, and Hai Dao Surfers gathered to participate. This year, Bird's Nest International Hotel continued to support the program, allowing these young people to challenge themselves on the court, improve their skills through basketball training and competition, learn teamwork, and find self-confidence while working up a sweat, turning their lives around through sports.
In this field full of challenges and dreams, every player fights with all their might, not only for the victory, but also for surpassing themselves. Just like every game, they see every pass and every breakthrough as an outpost of their lives, and they move towards their goals with vigor and determination. Birdseye International believes that through sports education, we can not only improve children's physical fitness, but also cultivate their character and teamwork spirit, laying a solid foundation for the future.
This year, we especially sponsored the Southern Region Exchange Competition by arranging for the participating youths to stay at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts of the Chengtou Travel - Scholarly Property Cultural and Educational Center, providing them with comfortable accommodations, so that each athlete can have sufficient rest and be in the best condition to meet the competition, giving their best and exerting their blood.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are aligned with a number of indicators, including:

- SDG 3 Health and Wellbeing - Enhance the physical and mental health of young people and develop healthy lifestyles through sport.
- SDG 4 Quality Education - Promote character development and non-formal education opportunities through basketball practice and teamwork.
- SDG 10 Reducing Inequality - To provide equal opportunities for disadvantaged young people to grow and learn, and to narrow the gap in social resources.
- SDG 17 Partnerships - Through collaboration between corporations and public interest organizations, we are working together to drive social impact and achieve common good.
Bird's Nest International Hotels will continue to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and work with all sectors of the community to create a more inclusive and sustainable future. In the future, Bird's Nest will continue to deepen its commitment to CSR and work with all sectors of the community to provide support to more youth in need and to promote the sustainable development of the society.
