The ten films in the series "The Walker" are the result of a twelve-year collaboration between director Tsai Ming-liang and Golden Horse winner Lee Kang-sheng. Inspired by the Tang Dynasty's Venerable Xuanzang's journey to the west, the films are set in locations all over the world, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, France, and the United States, and depict the monk's travels in all directions, including the inner heart and the world, in a long-distance shot from Taipei. Ten Steps of the Walker: Tsai Ming-liang" showcases the various materials used in the filming process, such as scriptures, paintings, and objects, and creates an immersive room space through multi-screen and installation art to create a unique walker's world of opposing elements.
